Dale Head Hall Lakeside Hotel
Dale Head Hall became the home of the Lord of the Manor of Legburthwaite for over 300 years from 1577 until in the early 1980’s when it became the summer residence of the Lord Mayor of Manchester. Subsequently Dale Head Hall has been extensively renovated and now offers the discerning visitor the ideal starting point for a Lakeland break.
This Jewel of the Lake District, sits alone on the shores of Thirlmere, with superb views of the lake to the front and of Helvellyn to the rear. This is a truly magical and romantic setting, where you can wander down through mature gardens to the lake shore. Look at the splendour of the fells across the lake, turn around and view the majestic slopes of Helvellyn, perhaps the most well known mountain in the English Lake District.
